Sports Teams

The sport faction is a faction you see everywhere in the school! Whether it be your classmate sitting next to you being apart from the baseball team, or the tournaments being held every summer, it's all apart of the sports faction! The faction has two parts, highschool teams and college teams, both with their separate lead, however almost everything runs the same. Teams are ran by a captain, who is a regular player chosen by these leads. The captain is also the one who is responsibly for the individual team and plans tryouts to find new members!

What does a team member do in roleplay?

The roleplay of a member of the sports faction varies greatly. Depending on what kind of team you are apart of you will experience vastly different roleplay situations. Whether it be a college football member jumping a highschool football member or the track team doing a track practice in the forest, almost all of the roleplay includes interaction with your teammates! On the sports faction you will get to make friends (and enemies) whilst improving your skills on the different sports.

All members of the teams are required to follow these faction rules: link.

How do I become apart of a team?

There is no application to become apart of the sports faction. If you are interested in joining a team you should keep an eye out on the tryouts channel or contact the captain for information about when their next tryouts are!

Which teams are there?

At the moment both highschool and college have 10 teams:

  • Football Males

  • Football Females

  • Cheer

  • Basketball Males

  • Basketball Females

  • Volleyball Males

  • Volleyball Females

  • Track

  • Swim

  • Baseball

Some of these teams are limited on gender and others are mixed, but do not fret, even when you're on a males team, you will often interact with the female counterpart!

What do team captains do?

As team captain you are in charge of one of the teams. It's a very diverse and fun role to have, however it also gives you lots of responsibilities and tasks. Some of these are:

  • Hosting practises for the team

  • Hosting tryouts for new members

  • Punish team members if necessary

  • Listen to your members for feedback

  • Communicating with the faction leads about the team

How do I become team captain?

Just like becoming a team member, becoming a team captain usually does not involve an application. All team captains are chosen by the faction leads, this can be done by a reference from a former captain, a small application sent to the current members of a team or rarely an application available to everyone. If you are interested into becoming a team captain, you should join a team and be proactive and helpful, often you will first occupy the co-captain position of a team before becoming the captain.
